John C. Barry is a multidisciplinary visual artist focusing on abstraction and expressionism. John was born and raised in Connecticut and studied painting and printmaking at Ontario College of Art and Design in Toronto. His preferred media include woodcut printing, etching, acrylic painting and digital media. John is a founder of Artmichael Gallery and the OCAD-based Artclub INTL. He is a member of The Spooky Astronauts Toronto.

Spooky Astronauts Drawing Club(TM)

The Spooky Astronauts Drawing Club(TM) was founded by Hamilton, Ontario (a.k.a. "Hammertown") artists Jeff Garrett and D. James Fitzgerald in the spring of 2010.  It has now grown to about thirty artists in three chapters: Hamilton, Toronto and Oshawa.




Hamilton Astronauts include Jeff Garrett, Jim Fitzgerald, Ahren Luidas Karnas, Andrea Benjamin, Lennyks "Dental Wires" Kennadee, Darlene MacNeil, Keegan McCuster, Marc Andrew Allen, Mark Wilson, Matt D'Alvise, Mike W. Mr. K. Wild Mongoose, Matt Mincoff, Mehtaab Samara, and Justine Lanza-Kendrick.

Toronto Astronauts include Lisa Ng, Anam Ahmed, Bradford Wilson, Corinne Ton Nu, Ryan Solski, Thomas Jeferson, gNat Lai, John C. Barry, Lee Tiffany, Pablo Jueves,  Gregory Hughes, Matt Micoff, Matthew and Mike Brown.

Oshawa Astronauts include Corey Chew, Kyle Stacey, Allen Connor, Bobby and Nick Watkins. 

Astronaut pieces are mostly collaborative although many members have completed multiple solo missions.  Posters range in prices from $10 to $50 unframed and are currently printed on demand.
